"Reiki Support/Share Groups" The Holistic Center holds space for the learning and sharing of Reiki and feels strongly that the appropriate boundaries are needed within this sort of group structure. Unless pre -invited only Reiki Students of The Holistic Center are allowed access to these groups.
Why is this? It is important that those offering reiki actually have the proper reiki attunements and are actively working to be a clear conduit for the reiki energy to protect themselves and those they are working with/on. It is very important to learn and discern what is Reiki during a treatment and what is not - What you should do and what you should not.
While that may seem simple enough there is at times confusion regarding this. People sometimes read books on Reiki and think due to that they can then offer reiki to others not understanding that they actually need to receive energetic attunements by a properly trained and attuned teacher to the reiki energy.
Also Reiki Attunements offered by "distance" or thru a CD or video are not the same as attunements offered in person by a qualified teacher - There are many things too indepth or of which are not proper to even go into here that person needs to consider within this structure of understanding and learning.
While anyone can learn Reiki - One needs to be willing to allow and do the work involved within as well as gaining the discernment to seperate their ego and personality from the process of what is REIKI.
These groups are currently hosted by The Holistic Centers Director - Keith Chouinard, he is an Usui / Tibetan / Karuna Advanced Reiki Master Teacher working towards licensing with The ICRT (International Center for Reiki Training) Among his many teachers he works with personally are William Rand, Laurelle Shanti Gaia, Michael Arthur Bard. Keith proactively travels to train and learn with Reiki teachers and other empathic teachers worldwide. Keith has been an empath (a person that can see/sense/feel energy fields) all his life and uses this awareness to help guide others to work with their own will power and empowerment.
